Thank you Derek for a great enjoyable and
informative day. If we had done the trip by ourselves we would have missed
the many things that you pointed out to us, especially the fossils and the
history of how the Flinders ranges were formed.
Nothing was too much trouble to you, even though you
could not find large ants to do your demo. The colour and views were
breathtaking, just as you said they would be.
We would recommend your tour to anyone and hope
to come back one day for another tour. Thank you again Derek for your
knowledge and enthusiasm and have a great birthday

Lynette and I thoroughly enjoyed our day in the
Flinders Ranges with Derek and his other guests. Derek's local knowledge and
love for the area was very apparent and he was able to communicate both very
capably to us all. His friendliness, sense of humour and understanding of
his guests was very good.

Thank you so much for a fantastic
day. you are a great ambassador for the Flinders Ranges and Hawker area. We
would not have gone where we went today if it was not for you.
Thanks again, we'll be back.

Derek's Full Day Tour - very
professional and knowledgeable of the area, geology, plants, and animals.
Nothing was a problem, stopped numerous times for photo opportunities, when
requested and also pointed out several other opportunities for great shots.
Showed an obvious passion for his
work and his local community, which he lives in. Your tour is the best way
to see the Flinders Ranges 'inside' and 'outside'.

Derek, thanks for a wonderful day
in the gorges. I think with any other driver we would have been a bit more
nervous in places. Your attitude, knowledge and skill gave us an
understanding of the country so different from our own area.
Your were right, dinner at the
Old Ghan was great. Once again thank you for a great experience.

Congratulations Derek on a
wonderful day. Very informative tour, scenery was breathtaking. It was the
only way to see the Ranges. Your passion for this area really came through
the tour. Thank you once again.

Thanks Derek for a fascinating
day through the Gorges when you told us so many things about the flora and
fauna and geology of the Flinders Ranges. Your enthusiasm was infectious and
the first thing we did on returning to Hawker was purchase the leaflet about
the Geological Trail. We spent a day by ourselves in the Pound which was
great but we did comment "If Derek was here he would be telling us so much
about things we probably are not noticing".
Anyway to make for that we will
be doing another 1/2 day with you tomorrow and for sure that will also be
first class. Will pass the word around amongst our travelling friends.

I would like to thank you for a
great day and you attention to detail and your courtesy to my wife and
myself was exemplary.
It was easy to see that you love
your job and care about the area in which you work.
I don't know about the "test" at
the end, with all the information you gave us it was hard trying to remember
it all, but it was fun trying.
We wish you all the best in your
new house and hope it rains soon to fill up your tank.

Thank you for a very enjoyable morning tour - very
early start- but well worth the effort.
We were very impressed with the way you presented yourself and your
pleasant manner.
Following the extremely dry weather conditions it
must have been difficult for you to present the normal beauty of the area in
its best light.
Thanks to your great knowledge and love of the
area, we now feel we know quite a lot about the the beautiful flinders
ranges, which we found to be very spectacular and very different landscape
from any we have seen in the past.
We will most certainly recommend your tour to
others who may be visiting the area.

It is clear that you have set out to present yourself as a tour
operator in a very professional way. This goes to knowledge, presentation, skills and care
for your clients. The good news is that you are succeeding. Brian

Thank you for a most wonderful day in the Flinders Ranges. It was a
pleasure to learn so much. You impressed us as a most knowledgeable young man who not only
has a great love of the bush but one who absolutely loves his job which is very rare in
these times. Garth & Mary, Melbourne, Victoria |

The 6am start was well worth it. The trip was excellent, the amount we saw
was incredible, the information and knowledge gained was great. Derek is an excellent tour
guide with a sense of humour and very friendly. It is good to have someone to take you to
all the sights... DO IT WITH DEREK - you will not be sorry. Thanks for a wonderful day.
Good luck for future trips, may see you again Mervyn &

The 2 days of touring with you have been excellent, your knowledge of the
area is pretty amazing. Many things we have learnt and been shown, ie the fauna and flora. You were well organised, clean, and kept to time, your tea breaks (smokos)
were extra special. We had lots of laughs as well. Keep up the work. We'll certainly
spread the word on Derek's Tours out of Hawker.
Please let us know when you start your Arkaroola 2 day tour.
Wouldn't want to miss it for quids. good luck.

I certainly learn a lot over our two tours. Questions I have been asking
for years answered in a flash. You showed us so many things that we would never have seen
on our own. Your vehicle is almost luxurious.
Morning teas and coffees great.
As a guide you're one of the best. Neither pushy nor
overbearing but patient and willing to listen - much appreciated.

Yes you guessed it - a letter from Joy and Joan to say thank you very much
for a fantastic day tour on Thursday last. It was magic - the weather perfect and we were
so lucky to have Bob and Janet on board with us. It was the best trip I have ever had
through the Flinders. lunch was a great treat at the Parachilna Pub - don't delete that
from your tour!! The train coming through was unique. Thank you for a good day - we will spread the word. All the best for
the future. Hope you find your brown eyed girl!!!

Thank you for a wonderful Skytrek experience. Your professional planning and obvious love for the bush environment were
plain to see and enhanced the journey.
Your easy relations with your passengers, particularly with
young Luke, created a happy atmosphere that made the day even more enjoyable. You made the
Flinders Ranges trip much better for us.
I know now what careful four wheel driving is all about.
Good luck for the future and I know I'll be back.

Thank you for the great day! We felt safe and comfortable the whole time.
You're a very competent and warm friendly person. You made each individual feel very much a
part of the tour. Your love and respect for the
land and animals was lovely to share. You pointed out so many simple and wonderful
experiences of the moment - like the sun brightening and highlighting the top of a ridge
or the sighting of a rock wallaby or soaring eagle. Each moment was special.
Our morning tea stop was appreciative and you were very
organised at that! It hit he spot.
Each different gorge we drove through had their own special
characteristics and you pointed these out, and stopped for photo opportunities when we
wanted them.. The tour was fantastic, you were very informative. I loved that rock that
looked like the underside of a pig's nose! You have great patience and will go well with
your tours. All the best.

First impressions are very important. Prior to our first trip on Monday Kay and myself both commented on your
truly professional manner.
The gorge trips were just fantastic.
Our decision to do Skytrek was made very easy following your
very informative first trip.
How does one describe Skytrek?
Easy: Breathtaking, awesome and made complete with a person
who is there to please.
Rest assured we are people that recommend good service.

It has been a very special day today. We have been o a 4WD excursion
with rather a special Tour Operator, Derek. We could not fault him in any way. He was
courteous, very caring and most informative. We have all had a wonderful day which we
shall never forget. Congratulations from Beth, born 6 June
